Daniel Käfer is this week's Nordic Future Maker. Daniel is now based in Doha, where he works as Group Director for telecom giant Ooredoo, overseeing strategic digital marketing across a wide region. Prior to this he was Country Manager for Facebook in Denmark and he's just published a new book called 'Release the Brakes On Growth - Growth Transformation through a marketing lens.'.

Daniel and I talk for just over 20 minutes and we discuss a number of different things, focussing on how to use digital media most effectively:

  • A bit about Daniel's background and what he does now
  • Working in Doha vs working in the Nordic Region
  • Intro to Daniel's book and the concept of Growth Transformation + how the word 'digital' scares people
  • 5 trends that people need to be on top of: 1) Friction, 2) Lack of Ad Attention, 3) Artifical Intelligence, 4) Mobile first, 5) Ever increasing speed of media innovation
  • Summary of Growth Transformation and how the process will never end!

Daniel's book is available on Amazon (and other sites) here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0874XY36Q/
