Lars Daniel is always joyfully reasserting and contradicting initial responses to his photography, and this conversation is no different.
As a conceptual photographer, Lars Daniel sees the human form and the environment in which they exist in his images as otherworldly, dreamlike and somewhat removed from reality. All literal meaning is therefore lost and any alternative view is open to be experienced. The BIG SLEEP series, Cultural Baggage II and Freedom & Happiness are all images which intrigue and require contemplation.
