This week on Nonsense in the Chaos we wander through the softer, gentler landscape of Somerset. To our great relief, we find kindred spirits along the way. Among laughter, music and shared stories, we meet those just as bewildered as us by the rise of racism and fascism creeping across the country like a zombie apocalypse. One moment you’re happily chatting away, the next comes the chilling drop of a name – an influencer or politician – that reveals they too have been bitten. Yet hope and solidarity shine through: we share time with a pair of brilliant, woke builders, including one who’d been driven from his home after his mixed-heritage son was attacked post-Brexit. He calls this spreading blight “Chavageddon” – a dark joke carrying very real fears. Join us in Somerset for a journey of honesty, humour, and fortifying connections.
