Bassey is a writer, a speaker, an emotional wellness advocate and the NYT bestselling author of the book I'm Telling the Truth But I'm Lying which is one of the most beautifully written memoirs I’ve read in recent years. In her book, she writes about emotional memory, distinguishing it from actual memory and she asks us to get curious when it comes to our remembrance of things and how we metabolize those memories.
