Share What You're Makin' w/ Chair & Bacon #7: Penguin on NFTs, MUD gaming and Battle for Evermore
Manage episode 330664027 series 2413638
Chair and Bacon have their second episode with a first recurring guest: Penguin, a platinum member of MetaGame and CTO of Mud Games, among other titles.
Penguin started playing at the age of 12 and has a long journey in the gaming industry. In this episode he shares about Battle for Evermore, his new NFT gaming project, and his perspectives on the evolving industry of gaming.
“I started playing when I was 12 and really shaped who I became and gave me an outlet in all this fantasy stuff and becoming active in these virtual worlds and creating virtual worlds and interacting with people in a metaverse level that people are getting into now”. With Battle for Evermore he wanted to make text based games fun for everyone.
He recognizes that the NFT space is “suffering from the hype and oversaturation of projects” so that the projects that will remain successful are the ones with a team that's there to support and that keeps pushing no matter what. In the case of Mud Games, he says they strive to make all the characters fun to play and make it competitive. “The main thing is that the game is fun to play, the token price is secondary”.
He will be at MetaGame’s MetaFest with a presentation and a couple of workshops.
Some of the topics:
- Mud Games
- Status of the NFT and NFT game industry
- Evolution of gaming
- Game Modes
- Balancing games
- How to join
- Backstory of Battle for Evermore
- Future of the game
- MetaFest
