On Music Not Diving this week, we discuss whether Spotify is such an exceptional case of evil that it deserves be made an example of, or whether there might be another platform, for instance one owned by a Communist dictatorship, which might better fit the bill.

And we give thanks to Cory Doctorow for his theoretical underpinning to the episode, which also features in the title!

Honestly this could easily have been twice as long and there are many issues which are omitted or insufficiently covered... but it took nearly a whole day to record and edit and that's about the limit of my pay grade!
