On July 22, 2025, the rock world lost one of the innovators of heavy metal and shock rock, Ozzy Osbourne.
Ozzy's career spanned over 50 years, first as lead singer of Black Sabbath, dubbed by many as the first heavy metal band, and then, as a solo artist who set the rock world on fire with his hard rock masterpieces and madman persona, onstage and off.
Mad or not, Ozzy entertained millions of fans and spanned generations with his career, even making a splash as a reality show TV star with his family's namesake show, The Osbournes.
Alex Alt (Slydog Music Cast) and me pore over the legacy of this crazy man who may have been many things, but dull wasn't one of them.
RIP, John Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne.
