"The character David looms large in scripture; the shepherd King who came to be a conqueror, and was also a poetic prankster. David is presented to us as both a man after God’s own heart, and at times a slave to the most basic of human desires. The stories of his life and the psalms of his heart give us archetypes through which we can reflect on the state of our own hearts as we follow Him who descended from David’s house."

Mike Bartlett served as the lead pastor for the King’s Community in Golden Grove from 2012 through to June, when he took a new role here as the Ministry Accreditation Facilitator. Mike loves to read, surf, has a predilection for pop music played too loud, and loses his keys most days.
