Hey, Mama, you've heard you need to process emotions, but what does it mean?

In this episode, Natalie shares how to process those big emotions with God’s help, so you can find peace and joy in the chaos of motherhood. Through personal stories, biblical encouragement, and practical steps, Natalie guides you to notice, name, and work through your emotions. Plus, learn how to start today with her free Trigger Tracker!

Key Points:

What is Processing Emotions? Processing emotions means noticing, naming, and working through feelings like anger, guilt, shame, and overwhelm with God’s guidance, rather than suppressing or exploding.

Why It Matters: Emotions are God-given, and even Jesus felt anger and sorrow. Processing them helps you break free from destructive cycles and find joy in motherhood.

Three Practical Steps:

Notice and Name the Emotion: Pause when triggered and identify what you’re feeling (e.g., anger, shame). Use the Trigger Tracker to pinpoint what sparked it.

Bring It to God: Pray honestly or journal about your emotions, offering them to God. He can handle your mess!

Reframe and Respond: Ask God for truth, then take one small action—like apologizing, taking a break, or reaching out to a friend.

Overcoming Barriers: God’s grace covers guilt and shame (2 Corinthians 12:9). Start small to combat overwhelm, and break isolation by connecting with others.

The Goal: Less yelling, more laughter, and a lighter heart as you process emotions with God.

Scripture References:

Psalm 34:18: “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

James 1:19-20: “Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.”

Lamentations 3:22-23: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end.”

Philippians 4:6-7: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

2 Corinthians 12:9: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
