Schools often provide food, safety, social support, and stability in addition to learning. In that light, teachers’ efforts to provide supplies are not simply acts of kindness—they are lifelines.

The conversation we must have is not whether teachers should provide these lifelines, but why they have to at all. Let' dive in.
