The Ripple Effect: Part 2: Making Someone’s Day Is Free | Ep 53
Manage episode 518908818 series 3680393
This episode is all about the second layer of the ripple effect, the power of helping, accepting help, and how those tiny gestures create energy that lasts way longer than the moment itself.
I share the story of helping a woman set up her tent on the beach, how it instantly shifted her whole day, and how that one act somehow turned into a full-circle moment later (yes, even involving a mystery smell...you’ll see). I talk about how being a DJ has taught me the value of letting people help, and how saying “yes” to support can actually make life easier, lighter, and way more fun.
We also get into the dance floor version of this:
• the “go girl!” hype energy
• partner activities where you get lifted by someone else’s confidence
• how one person going full out gives everyone else permission
And then the deeper layer…
Some of us don’t accept help because we don’t want to be a burden.
Some of us never ask because we’re used to doing everything alone.
Some of us think helping is “intrusive,” even though it feels amazing when someone helps us.
This episode is about learning both sides:
✨ the courage to give help
✨ the humility to receive it
Making someone else’s day is free.
And the ripple always comes back even in ways you don't you expect.
