Jo has many years of experience working with adopted people, and Nickie, who was adopted herself in the sixties, shares her own emotional story and discusses her work with Adoption UK - helping adopted people. They discuss the lack of recognition of what it means to be adopted, addressing common issues such as the sense of belonging or being an outsider, how difficult it can be to integrate two life stories and the more modern view of helping adopted children understand their life story.
