This week on Midnight showing Luke and Nash take a look at a lesser known Coen Brothers film, The Man Who Wasn't there. Releasing in the year 2001, Billy Bob Thornton stars in this melodramatic, slow burning, black and white film.

Set in the year 1949, we meet a barber named Ed Crane, who does not like to consider himself a barber. As he goes through the motions of life, Working, eating, going home to a distant wife, he soon finds boredom in the act of it all, and is given the opportunity to invest in the a new invention called “Dry Cleaning.” To get the money for this investment Ed Crane blackmails the man who is sleeping with his wife, and from that moment, the world of Ed Crane slowly falls apart.
