In this episode, Dr. Kenny Williamson takes on one of the most difficult and often-avoided questions: Why does the Bible teach that sinners go to hell for eternity? If sins are committed in this short life, how can the punishment be everlasting? Many try to answer with philosophy, but today we go straight to the Word of God. From Jesus’ own warnings about “everlasting punishment” (Matthew 25:46), to Paul’s words about “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), we’ll see clearly that the doctrine of eternal hell is not man’s idea—it is God’s.
We’ll explore what makes sin so serious in the eyes of a holy God, why rejecting Christ carries eternal weight, and how the Scriptures tie the justice of God directly to His holiness. This is not a message of despair, but of hope—because while “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23), the gift of God through Jesus Christ is eternal life.
Join us as we search the KJV Scriptures to understand why eternal punishment is perfectly just, and why the gospel is the only way of escape from hell to eternal life.
