Washington is not opposed to Ukraine striking deep into Russian territory using American-made long-range missiles, U.S. special envoy Keith Kellogg said in an interview with Fox News on Sunday.

Responding to a question about whether U.S. President Donald Trump had authorized such strikes, Kellogg replied, “I think reading what he has said, and reading what Vice President Vance has said as well as Secretary Rubio, the answer is yes. Use the ability to hit deep. There are no such things as sanctuaries.”

Several days earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that Trump had told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky that he was open to lifting the U.S.’s restrictions on Kyiv using American-made long-range weapons to strike inside Russia.
