Manage episode 506680147 series 3560025
What does genetic testing really mean for your child...and for you as a parent? In this episode of Medical Moms Anonymous, I sit down with Brian Williamson, our son’s genetics counselor, to unpack the complicated world of genetics and the emotional journey parents face when testing is recommended. We’ll cover what genetic counselors do, the different types of testing available, what results might (and might not) tell you, and the hard emotional questions many parents wrestle with along the way.
Whether you’re just beginning to consider genetic testing or you’ve already been through the process, this conversation is designed to help you feel more informed and less overwhelmed. You’ll walk away with practical insights, encouragement, and resources to guide you as you advocate for your child. Remember, you don’t have to navigate this alone.
