Welcome to 'Matinee To Midnight' - a podcast for big screen enthusiasts.

For episode 12, Simon and Matthew unveil the first star for a director in the Roundhay Garden Cinema's "Alley of Glory" - for the one of a kind, Paul Verhoeven. Following a discussion on his life and career, Simon and Matthew programme and discuss three movies each from a director whose films are never far away from controversy.

This is a film recommendation show, but the movies Simon and Matthew choose to discuss are not necessarily their favourite films on a subject. They are the films that they feel are interesting and worthy of discussion - and best fit into these programming slots.
