A perfectionist is someone who has a personality that strives for flawlessness. This is often accomplished through fixating on imperfections, trying to control situations, working hard, or being critical of the self or others. I personally am a recovering perfectionist.

3 Traits of Perfection that can hold you back:

  1. Setting unrealistic standards
  2. Focusing on RESULTS rather than the JOURNEY
  3. Fear of failure which can lead to procrastination & avoidance

Podcasting is not for everyone, but if you feel called to create a podcast don’t let perfectionism stop you. Get started, do it messy, have fun, pivot, change, learn, fail, and grow. If you can embrace the process then podcasting can be fun, rewarding, expansive, and open new doors to opportunities you never knew existed before.
