Many "experts" will tell you that you need thousands of downloads before you can even think of monetizing your podcast. We respectfully disagree. Giant download numbers were never anything we found we needed to have our podcast start making us money.
New podcasters and podcasters with smaller shows just need to be creative. We like focusing on these things when thinking about monetizing your podcast:
- Building strong, authentic connections with your audience
- Learning what your audience needs and wants from you
- Creating content that brings value to your audience
If you focus on those things and have a creative, curious mindset- monetizing is pretty darn easy!
The number one way we found to monetize a podcast is...... creating a course, masterclass, membership and/or retreat.
