Filipinos are natural born performers, may it be singing or dancing. You'd be hard pressed to find a filipino who didn't enjoy belting out at a karaoke or willing to join in on a jamming session. We are world class talents known for our versatility, our ability to pick up any genre or belt any tune. For that very reason a job in the music field or being a musician was once the most popular profession in Hong Kong. As early as 1950s there was a drove of imports of talents from the Philippines. Filipino Musicians were treated like celebrities, they played with the likes of Jacky Cheung, Anita Mui etc. But years have passed since the golden age and musicians and live performances have become a rarity in this pandemic world. Join us as we hear the highs and the lows of a father and son trodding similar paths.
