The Toronto Raptors won a pair of preseason thrillers over the Thanksgiving long weekend against the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards. In Episode 1960, Sean Woodley is joined by Vivek Jacob (Raptors in 7) to talk about their takeaways from the weekend that was, including their thoughts on an improved but not quite fully optimized Scottie Barnes in his second preseason outing, Gradey Dick rounding into form, and the thrilling finishes in both games that featured some slick late-game play design by Darko Rajakovic. Off the top, they chat about another inefficient Barnes night as he shot just 3/11 from the field, and discuss why it was heartening to see him settle in and bring the heat in the second quarter on Sunday's game against the Wizards after a pretty lifeless opening frame. His integration into this version of the team's offense very much remains a work in progress, but it was nice to see some baby steps forward. Plus, they talk about a hot-shooting weekend from Gradey Dick, and just how good he needs to be on offense to make it justifiable to play him and his defensive deficiencies. Lastly, they run through The Good (Chucky Hepburn, clutch finishes), The Bad (Collin Murray-Boyles taking an injury, benching dudes in a home preseason game) and The Hmmm (Dick's offensive rebounding, the race for the 15th roster spot) to close out the show.
