Today, I’d like to tell you about a study by a group in Norway led by Julianne Lundanes and Siren Nymo. They have done several studies about lipedema and carb-restricted diets.

The paper published in the peer-reviewed journal Clinical Nutrition ESPEN (The European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism) in November 2024 is titled, The effect of a low-carbohydrate diet on subcutaneous adipose tissue in females with lipedema.

This analysis focused on the effect of two diets (low carb vs. low fat) on subcutaneous adipose tissue (SAT) in the calf of women with lipedema.
