The struggle with believing the Truth is not based in reason or rationality. Reason must begin with fear of the Lord. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We live in a world that has untethered itself from Christ and has no fear of the Lord. In absence of the Anchor, we drift. The gradual drift isn't seen as a problem. This is the beginning of judicial blindness. The opportunity to hear and heed, to see and believe is limited. The timing of that is not up to us. The Lord gives his people ample time to hear and to heed. He gave ample time to the Jewish nation to hear and to heed. He sent the prophets. They tethered themselves to the law without tethering to God. The law without God as a basis is not going to work. They began to see God as their servant. They became blind and deaf to the Truth. He sent His son and they rebelled and killed Him. We are tempted with the same hearts of unbelief. Belief in the Truth requires faith. It requires belief in Jesus. Seeing and believing are not the same. Hearing and heeding are not the same. Let us be found walking in newness of life- hearing and heeding, seeing and believing.
