The idols can see nothing, hear nothing, and do nothing. Those who serve them become like them. The True and Living God sees everything, hears everything and can do anything. His prophets are those who, under Divine inspiration bring a revelation of what His word says. God also enables men to see patterns in his word in the world that he has created. One of these patterns is that of sowing and reaping. Those who serve the idols sow wickedness and shall reap the same. There is also the pattern of judgment for disobedience. In Christ, God has blessed that we reap in joy where we have not sown because of His obedience. Christ suffered. We suffer. When our sowing is in seeking first the kingdom of God, the blessings are abundant.
