Happy Halloween. The world is a temptingly scary place to live in. While this pod started out with me complaining for a lost tradition- I'd like you to know that it wasn't a lack of supply that kept kids from getting candy this year! There were the same number of houses with lights on this year as there has been for the last ten years running. The LIghthearts start in the same neighborhood and at the same house and have for a long time- we know the area well. The good news for us? Zero competition.
Candy-givers were so excited to finally see someone- and my kids were dressed to the nines!- that they were giving away handfuls of candy. We were out for about an hour, including the drive, and the kids came back with a grand haul of toxic sugar-stuffs.
