In July 2025, inspectors at a former nuclear weapons site in South Carolina made a bizarre discovery: a Wasp nest emitting radiation 10 times above federal safety limits. It's a strange and unsettling reminder of the legacy left behind by the Cold War era, and it’s a weird reminder that nuclear waste doesn't just sit quietly underground.
