Despite witnessing miracles, the disciples struggle to understand, prompting Jesus to challenge their spiritual blindness. In Bethsaida, He heals a blind man in two stages, revealing both physical and spiritual truths. The chapter ends with Peter's bold confession that Jesus is the Christ, followed by Jesus predicting His suffering, death, and resurrection—and calling His followers to take up their cross.
