Mexican-American teen Jules has a hard time connecting with her cousins on a visit to the Yucatán, but when some mischievous Mayan spirits called Aluxes trap them all in an underground cenote (natural spring) they must work together to escape. Spirits of the Cenote was written by Miriam Arce, who grew up in Mérida, Mexico where the story is set. It was directed by Brian Tanner. The cast included Rachel Smith as Jules, Xianny Magoffin as Mariana, Bryan Barba Salazar as Eduardo, and Victoria Castaneda as both Daniela and Abuela Lulú. The sound team for this adventure was led by Cayson Renshaw and Trent Reimschussel, with engineering by Brandon Lewis and Joshua Foutz, and dialogue editing, sound design, music editing, and mixing by Hannah Evans and Luke Gunnerson. This episode was produced by Brian Tanner, Wendy Folsom, and Sam Payne. The Kaboom writing team includes Kay Hendrickson, Tristan Schetzel, and Nicho Wetsel.
