WCPT 820 Interview: Army Major General Randy Manner (Ret.)
Manage episode 488445546 series 3619232
Joan Esposito is joined by Army Maj. Gen. Randy Manner (Ret.), former acting vice chair of the National Guard Bureau, and member of National Security Leaders for America (NSL4A).
Manner sharply criticized the Secret Service's treatment of U.S. Senator Alex Padilla, hours after the California Democrat had been forcibly removed from a Los Angeles press conference that Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was giving. He also discussed the misuse of National Guard troops in the Los Angeles immigration protests and condemned the use of military personnel as political props at President Donald Trump's recent Fort Bragg speech.
Manner also talked about NSL4A. "We are composed of over 1,200 retired generals, admirals and ambassadors and senior enlisted leaders that are united to help restore the concept of democracy and mutual respect to our country," he said. "So Americans have to understand that there are far, far, far more retired generals and admirals who are fighting for our country to do the right thing, for our leadership and our leadership to do the right thing."
