Part 2 of this article is from the perspective that it pits ultimately, two very different models and aspirations of what AI can be. OpenAI and Apple tout fairly rated G, PG content and approach. Sam Altman effectively rebuked Grok with its creation of what looks like an AI girlfriend "waifu" looking like a teenager in a short skirt and flatly said this is not what they're going for. As for Apple, the choice of color of a device is as controversial as it gets most of the time. On the other hand, Grok has versions that are with very few boundaries, at times spewing reprehensible rhetoric. This legal battle may be more about AI without boundaries, both ethical and in choice of content (Grok) vs productivity and usefulness to businesses and people (OpenAI, Apple). The former represents little value to society but is inherently freer compared to tools meant to, at least at face value, improve business and people's creativity and well-being.
