Could companies as they identify AI efficiencies, next look to reduce hours? As more data is collected and productivity increases due to AI, could it become a result of the insights that even remaining staff need not work 40 hours and thus need not be paid as much? After all, companies are meant to maximize profits for shareholders, and could this be the next way to reduce costs further?
