Second Question and Response (Q&R) with the author of the book "His Mercy: God's Heart for People in Need" with host Corina Espejo. Interview on Section II and III.

Book Overview:

From Genesis to Revelation, the Bible reveals a God who loves people. So why is the world filled with so many people oppressed by poverty, hunger, and desperate needs? And what is our response to be as God’s people?
His Mercy: God’s Heart for People in Need provides six weeks (42 days) of daily devotionals that explore the depths of God’s mercy and the reality of people’s needs. Rather than calling us to take up the mantle as Saviors to a needy population, Brett calls us to recognize our own neediness, turning to God for physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual strength. “There is only one Savior, and it is not you.” Instead of a guilt-driven response, the scriptures call us to embrace the God-driven opportunity to draw close to each other, rich and poor, powerful and oppressed, all admitting our needs before a God who longs to lavish abundance on his children.
When the needs seem overwhelming, Brett calls us to remember that we are not the heroes—God is the true hero in the story of the Bible! God is calling us into action, supplying us with what we need, and promising an ultimate abundance! May this book bring you face-to-face with the God who sees our condition, hears our cries, and meets our needs.
