Your Nightly Prayer 🙏🏾 Revelations 21:4
[[A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day.]] It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: -Psalms 92:1
DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 92:1
Praise is not just pleasant—it is good. There is something inherently right, healthy, and restorative about giving thanks to the Lord. When anxiety contracts our world, praise expands it again.
Making music to God’s name lifts our eyes from our problems to His greatness. This is not denial; this is perspective. The most holy name deserves our highest praise, and we find our own healing in giving it. Anxiety shrinks in the presence of authentic praise. When we declare God's goodness, we remember who truly holds control. Today, what music will you make in His name? Let gratitude tune your heart and praise reset your perspective.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, You are worthy of all praise. Your name is above every name, Your goodness beyond all description. You deserve songs of joy from all creation.
CONFESSION: I confess praise is often my last resort instead of my first response. I have let anxiety steal the song from my heart.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You that praising You is good for my soul. Thank You for giving me reasons to sing even in difficult seasons. I am grateful that Your name is a strong tower where anxious hearts find peace.
SUPPLICATION: Father, help me to choose praise even when I do not feel like it. Teach me that giving thanks is good medicine for anxiety. Put a new song in my heart and music on my lips. Let my life make music to Your holy name.
PRAYER
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
REVELATIONS 21:4
Dear God, You have promised that in the life to come, death and pain will be no more. What a beautiful promise that gives us hope for eternity! In this life we may feel the weight of sorrows and troubles, but in Your presence there is fullness of joy. Your heart longs to bring us peace and rest, and to restore our souls. May all who seek refuge in You be blessed with grace and mercy, so that we may live in light of eternity. We give thanks for Your redeeming love, and look forward to the day when the streets of heaven will shine as radiantly as gold. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🙏🏾
