Your Nightly Prayer šš¾ Proverbs 25:21-22
DEVOTION
Based on Proverbs 25
God calls us to respond to enemies with kindness, not vengeance. Itās counterculturalāand deeply spiritual. Offering food and care to someone whoās wronged you turns conflict into an opportunity for redemption.
The ācoals of fireā are not punishment but convictionāour love exposes their hate and may lead them to repentance. Itās not about passive tolerance, but active compassion. When we respond to hate with love, God sees, honors, and works through it. We donāt fight fire with fireāwe overcome with mercy.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, You loved me while I was still Your enemy. Your kindness led me to repentance. I praise You for Your mercy.
CONFESSION: I admit itās hard to be kind to those who hurt me. My instinct is often to pull back or repay. Change my heart, Lord.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for the times Youāve softened my enemies through grace. Thank You for rewarding obedience that costs something.
SUPPLICATION: Father, teach me to love without condition. Show me how to serve even those whoāve wronged me. Use my response to open doors for healing and truth. Let me be an instrument of reconciliation, reflecting Your relentless mercy.
PRAYER
āIf thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the Lord shall reward thee.ā
PROVERBS 25:21-22
Dear Heavenly Father, You are the source of all love and mercy. We thank You for granting us Your grace and help to forgive even those who have wronged us. By Your strength, may we overcome evil with good, kindness, and service. Help us to be humble in our actions towards those who hurt us and seek to do good in their lives. May we be generous with charity and bountiful in our offering of mercy, so that they may also taste Your grace and experience Your love. Let us be mindful of the power of forgiveness, Lord, grateful for the opportunities You have given us to serve others in Your name. In Jesusā name, Amen. šš¾
