Your Nightly Prayer šš¾ John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.ā
JOHN 15:5
DEVOTION
Based on John 15
Jesus clarifies that our strength, growth, and fruitfulness come from abiding in Him. A branch canāt survive apart from the vine, nor can we thrive spiritually without a daily connection to Christ. Abiding isnāt a one-time decision; itās a lifestyle of dependence, intimacy, and trust. We bear fruitālove, peace, patienceānot by striving, but by staying rooted in Him.
When we disconnect through neglect or pride, we wither. But when we remain in His presence through prayer and obedience, His life flows through us. The secret to fruitfulness is staying close to the Source.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Jesus, You are the True Vine. God I worship You as the One who gives life, strength, and purpose to all who abide in You.
CONFESSION: Forgive me for the times Iāve tried to live in my strength. I confess my independence often leads to spiritual dryness.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for being so near and faithful. Thank You for sustaining me and producing fruit in me that I could never grow on my own.
SUPPLICATION: Lord, teach me to remain in You daily. Help me stay connected through prayer, Scripture, and obedience. Let Your Spirit flow through every area of my life so I may bear much fruitāfruit that glorifies You and blesses others.
PRAYER
āI am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.ā
JOHN 15:5
Dear Lord, You are the source of all life and energy. You alone have the power to sustain us through all seasons of life. We are humbled to receive such support and guidance from You, Lord. May we always remember that Your Spirit is the source of our strength and the foundation of our faith. We, like branches, are dependent on the vine we draw life from ā and that is You. We ask for more energy every day to serve You with all of our hearts, minds, and souls. In Jesusā name, Amen. šš¾
