Your Nightly Prayer šš¾ Proverbs 16:12
It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.ā
PROVERBS 16:12
DEVOTION
Based on Proverbs 16
This verse highlights the divine standard for leadership. Righteousness, not power or success, is the foundation of lasting authority. When leaders act with integrity and justice, their rule is strengthened; but when wickedness prevails, the very structure of leadership begins to crumble.
This principle applies not only to kings but to anyone in influenceāparents, teachers, pastors, or employers. God honors righteousness because it reflects His character. As believers, we are called to uphold truth and integrity in every role we fill. Itās not about perfection, but about alignment with Godās ways.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION: Lord, You are righteous and just in all Your ways. I praise You for being a King whose rule is pure and eternal.
CONFESSION: Forgive me for the times Iāve compromised truth for comfort or failed to lead with integrity in my responsibilities.
THANKSGIVING: Thank You for the wisdom in Your Word that sets the standard for true leadership. Iām grateful for Your guidance.
SUPPLICATION: Father, shape my character to reflect Yours. In every area of leadership, youāve given meāat home, work, or ministryāhelp me to walk in righteousness. Let my words and decisions honor You and encourage others to trust in Your justice.
PRAYER
āIt is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness.ā
PROVERBS 16:12
Dear Lord, Your word is clear that leaders are held to a higher standard. Those who desire to lead will be held accountable for everyone under their care. That is why we pray for the leaders of our communities. We pray for the decision makers, movers, shakers, and people in power. We pray that they would understand the gravity of their position, and humble themselves, lest they be humbled by You. We all occupy some sort of influence in this world, therefore, we all need to be dependent on You, filled with fear and reverence. Help us to seek Your will and lead well. In Jesusā name, Amen. šš¾
