Have you ever considered that in an attempt to be holy and righteous, and with a desire to be obedient to God, we (in the church) inadvertently create laws that are not laws, and often they come out of a desire to not be stumbling blocks to others? But we are offered to live a life of freedom in Christ. (Galatians 5:1). We need to shed ourselves of this tendency. (BTW: that doesn’t mean sin is not sin. Sin is still sin)
