ALL GAS NO BRAKES. We welcome Nathan Johnson, frontman of Colorado-based hardcore outfit Fox Lake, to IUF. With their second full-length album New World Heat, the band leans into a raw, genre-blending sound that fuses heavy grooves, hip-hop influences, and unapologetic energy. Emphasis on the unapologetic.

We dive into the band’s early days, the growing Denver music scene, and how Fox Lake evolved from a side project into a full-time force. Now signed to MNRK Heavy and gearing up for their first headlining tour this fall, Fox Lake are proving they’re ready for the spotlight.
