Sid the Kid and PBIS at Sidway Elementary School
Manage episode 353678724 series 3441824
In our first episode of Inspiring Viking Values we interviewed Mr. Michael Antonelli, the principal of Charlotte Sidway Elementary School in Grand Island NY. Mr. Antonelli shared information on their Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS) program, which is a school wide initiative. Joining the podcast were two special guests. Ms. Stephanie Hall is a classroom teacher at Sidway and leader of the PBIS program. Additionally, first grade student, Jocelyn, shared information about Sid the Viking Kid and all of the elements of the program from a student's perspective. I would like to thank our music teacher, Mrs. Christine Sweeley for composing and creating the Sid the Kid song for all of the students at Sidway! Furthermore, I would like to thank Mrs. White and her students for singing the Sid the Kid song for the podcast. One more thing...I would like to thank Mrs. Mernitz and her students for singing the Grand Island Alma Mater. It is featured at the end of the podcast.
