Hi!

Today, we speak to Tim Minchin. Tim is a composer, actor, satirist, singer, writer and an all-round extraordinary entertainer. His career skyrocketed when he composed Matilda the Musical, and he’s just released his new album: Tim Minchin Time Machine, ahead of his 2025 Australian Tour ‘Songs The World Will Never Hear’.

Twelve years ago, Tim was awarded an honorary doctorate at the University of WA when he shared his 9 Life Lessons with the graduating class. His speech went viral, with 5.6 million views on YouTube. So, instead of our regular format, we’re mixing things up this Tuesday and releasing a Life Lessons episode featuring the very philosophical Tim.

In this conversation, Tim speaks about becoming a parent, the 30-year relationship he shares with his wife, Sarah, marriage, fidelity, and how they’ve stuck together, amongst all the fame. He opens up about how he’s dealt with public criticism, why he’ll never consume something he’s created, the importance of setting micro ambitions and achievable goals, and why it all comes down to luck.

Head to www.timminchin.com to purchase Tim’s new album and for his tour dates.
