In this introductory episode, Damon discusses the church and what we believe as Seventh Day Adventists. He discusses the idea of the 7th day of the week to rest (the Sabbath) and then Advent (arrival/coming).
So Seventh Day Adventists are bible believing Jesus followers who honor the 7th day Sabbath as directed in the 10 commandments and who are looking forward to the coming of Jesus. They also believe in the Three Angels Messages in Revelation 14 and how that fits into prophecy and the second coming of Jesus.
Danielle and Damon discuss the idea of the Old Testament and New Testament complimenting one another and how they both point to Jesus and reveal the plan of salvation for mankind. They discuss the Sanctuary Message and how so much of the bible is dedicated to specifics on the sanctuary and the ceremonies to take place within it. (Exodus is the 5ht largest book in the bible,) They discuss prophecy starting with the 2300 days in Daniel 8 and then how that links to Revelation and how all of the bible is intertwined. 70% of Revelation is quoted from the Old Testament. They discuss the idea of present truth and what that means in terms of prophecy and stories in the bible.
