Manage episode 494617373 series 3665107
In this episode, IDF Lt. Colonel Yaron Buskila talks about the complexities of his job running military operations in Gaza. On the one hand there is a need to follow the international laws governing warfare, but on the other hand Hamas constantly breaks these laws. As such the IDF finds its hands tied when trying to both be a moral army and also defeat a terror organization. Yaron provides examples of the tough decisions that he has needed to make when fighting in Gaza. He also zooms out and talks about the goals of the war and how the IDF can turn the war in Gaza into an operational scenario similar to that of Judea and Samaria, and the great opportunities that lie ahead.
