Last Saturday as I hosted TED X Dalt Vila on stage here in Ibiza, I invited a talk about the Truth.
It IS supposed to be absolute, unquestionable and the facts that form the very foundation of everything we know or at least expect to be true.
But in today’s world—where deepfakes blur reality, misinformation spreads like wildfire, and algorithms shape what we see and believe—how do we even begin to separate fact from fiction?
We live in an era where narratives outweigh nuance and headlines out shout honesty.
Where the sheer volume of information doesn’t make us more informed, but more divided, more uncertain, and more vulnerable to have the wool pulled over our eyes.
Our next speaker is someone who carved out career as an investigative journalist.
Bob Trafford spent years unearthing hidden truths, analysing evidence, and navigating the delicate line between what is real and what is manufactured working for Forensic Architecture.
His work doesn’t just reveal what we believe to be true—but why we believe it.
So, in a world where the truth is increasingly up for debate, how do we find it?
And just as importantly—how do we protect it?
