How did Tynika raise the Alei-bar of education? Well, in this episode she shares the tools and resources she used to stay focused and driven on her quest for economic and educational equity for herself, her family and the children under her tutelage. She was raised in a large family from Washington, DC where her and her twin sister served as role models for her younger siblings. They were afforded educational opportunities which required them to commute far from home on public transportation, which required sacrifices from everyone. Being exposed to different life perspectives inspired her to serve and be an example for her community so becoming a teacher was not an option for her but her calling.
