Hello and welcome to How Did I Get Here? From The Vault! Today we go back to episode 1208 with Jim Babjak from legendary power-pop band, The Smithereens. This show was originally released on 9/26/2022. Below are my original notes from the episode.
Hello friends! Jim Babjak from legendary power-pop band, The Smithereens is my guest for episode 1208! On Friday The Smithereens released, The Lost Album recorded in between record deals in 1993 and not released until now. Find it wherever you stream or download your jams. The Smithereens are back out on the road with guest singers, Marshall Crenshaw and Robin Wilson of The Gin Blossoms. Go to officialsmithereens.com for music, tour dates and more. Jim and I have a great conversation about where the band was at when they recorded The Lost Album, how The Smithereens came to be, carrying on after the loss of their amazing singer, Pat DiNizio, working with guest singers, his coffee brand Babjax Coffee and much more! I had a great time getting to know Jim. I'm sure you will too. Let's get down!
