Sonia Vasquez explains how her immigrating to the US develops a well researched trauma immigrants suffer from in the form of PTSD, which took her on a journey of eight years to resolve, that included her physical and psychological health. It was through this journey she came to find the many approaches in holistic medicine, and to know how the body works in balance with nature, how our psychological balance can affect our physical body, and why its important we all start understanding eco-spirituality or involve our presence n nature. She gives some advice on how to best try out an herbal supplements so its safe, and to not self medicate with herbals because of the delicate balance between different constitutions, and psychological balance, that it is best to consult with a professional practitioner to figure out what is the best treatment and perhaps what medical professional to consult with if needed. She then goes on to speak about the use of Tallow and Lard, and her company thefatladytallow.com and how many people who used Tallow of beef fat on the skin that suffer with problems such as eczema found relief and healed, especially children, who often don't find relief through conventional means.The feedback on her website is telling on how the customer is experiencing these products and what success they have had with it.

Guest Bio: Sonia Vasquez is an bilingual herbal educator, coach and entrepreneur, who began by learning to develop her own natural and organic products and understanding the use of foods to resolve her own skin and health issues. Since then she has learned to lead wellness, herbalism and wild foraging or medicine making workshops as well as coaching people with chronic conditions such as pain, insomnia, stress, diabetes, high cholesterol or blood pressure, IBS or chronic digestive Issues, and obesity among others. She focuses on creating awareness about personal and environmental care and how to reconnect with nature as these are the pillars of a healthy lifestyle.
Sonia has trained in western herbalism at the North American Institute of Herbal Medicine and in nutrition at the Integrative & Functional Nutrition Academy. She has also trained at Herbal Medicine Making & Foraging Wild Edible at the Chestnut School of Herbalism; She is a experienced POCA® ear acupuncture technologist; and has learned to make skin formulations at the School of Natural Skin Care; and has also been trained in additional specialties by today’s leading herbalists such as Isla Burgess, Tami Sweet, Paul Bergner, Lisa Ganora, and Margi Flint. Currently Sonia is studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture in Chile, South America at (Sociedad Chilena de Acupuntura Médica), Chilean Society of Medical Acupuncture. Her line of products include medicinal and natural balms, soaps, ointments, and supplements. She and her husband are making products from grass fed beef fat called Tallow on their own farm using traditional methods.
