At 17 years old, pastor's daughter Anita Keagy got pregnant.

At the risk of sullying their reputation in the church, Anita's parents urged her to carry the baby to term, and she ultimately gave her up for adoption.

21 years later, Anita was able to meet her daughter for the first time. Suddenly, Anita realized that the connection she had yearned for with her daughter all the lost years is the same yearning our Heavenly Father has for us.

God used Anita’s own desire to know her child to impress upon her how much He wants to know His children – us! With that knowledge, a ministry was born that is now thriving and impacting lives every day. Anita founded Joyshop Ministries in 2006, with the mission to inspire people to spend time with God everyday.
