Healing painful memories of those who have hurt us is not about letting them off the hook, but about letting ourselves off the hook. Holding on to a grudge can be likened to drinking a cup of poison expecting the other person to get sick.

I found a means of healing memories and letting go of the pains of past hurts. It is not easy. You need to go places of discomfort, going in to the pain to find the way to move forward from it. But the rewards are profound as the load lightens and you free yourself of the burdens.
