Manage episode 407734004 series 3548146

A whole new era of challenges, a name behind the challenges they’d already been facing for years. This leads to them feeling overwhelmed and not knowing what to do. And then they feel alone and abandoned in their overwhelmedness.
Thankfully, today Sophia Mills and Sofia Scher sit down with Debbie Reber, mother to a neurodivergent son, Asher. Inspired by the journey she went through while raising Asher, Debbie founded her company, Tilt Parenting, pioneering into the world of neurodivergent parenting. She sought to create a supportive community where parents can find resources, encouragement, and advocacy for their children who are wired differently. They discuss how to recognize signs of neurodiversity, advocacy for neurodivergent children, the importance of supportive communities, going from a disability to a strength, building independence, and more. For parents, educators, and caregivers alike, this episode will prove extremely worthwhile and helpful.
