When a pair of young girls stumble upon a winged figure near a churchyard in the quiet village of Mawnan Smith, an English legend is born. For decades since, witnesses have claimed to see the same creature: half-man, half-owl, with eyes that burn red through the fog. Is it a case of mistaken identity, a hoax that got out of hand, or something older — something tied to the sacred ground beneath Mawnan Church itself?
